To replace Charbit, Gianfranco Gianangeli will now lead Balenciaga, bringing years of experience from his previous role as CEO of Margiela.

WHAT:

Dolce & Gabbana x Skims collaboration

The luxury Italian fashion house, Dolce & Gabbana, and Kim Kardashian’s viral shapewear brand, Skims, is teaming up for an unlikely collaboration. Picture this: Skim’s iconic body-hugging fabrics melded with classic Italian style and motifs. In attempts to connect with broader customer bases, the collaboration will stretch each brand’s aesthetic to reach a middle ground on price-point. Using her family’s longstanding connection with the brand, Kim said the collaboration will be “unlike anything we’ve done before.”

The Louis Vuitton Flagship renovation that has everyone talking

Louis Vuitton’s flagship renovation scaffolding is arguably more on brand than the previous storefront itself: a massive stack of luggage trunks covered with their signature monogram canvas. However, the temporary store is even more impressive. As shoppers enter under huge giraffe and peacock figurines, some have compared the insides to a museum, full of elaborate displays and immersive experiences. The luxury fashion house has even dipped their toes into the food and beverage space, featuring the first LV-branded cafe in America: Le Cafe Louis Vuitton.

Wicked beyond the theater

In celebration of the long awaited release of Wicked, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, many brands have dropped wickedly stylish collections. A few of our favorites include Gap’s collection of vintage hoodies, Fossil’s watch and accessory collection inspired by the 85th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz and Béis’s magical ombré luggage line.
