​​The Michigan Fashion Media Summit is more than just an event—it’s a movement. It’s a space where the most ambitious students and brightest creatives come together to learn, connect, and push the boundaries of the fashion, media, and business industries. This summit isn’t just about listening to keynotes or attending panels; it’s about uniting a new generation of visionaries, creating conversations that matter, and forging relationships that will shape the future of fashion.

By giving students direct access to industry leaders, brands, and even potential work opportunities, we hope to empower U of M students and beyond. Our student run initiative has grown into a national force, proving that young creators have the power to disrupt, lead, and inspire the fashion world. With every summit, we are pushing boundaries, building connections, and cultivating a legacy of ambition, innovation, and excellence. This is just the beginning, so we thank you for being a part of our journey. Here's to elevating the future of fashion, one step at a time.

Making the most of the Summit 

The Stitch just dropped a full guide of tips for making the most of the Summit–from networking strategies to planning your day-of schedule, it's a must-read to use the Summit to its full potential! Additionally, we highly encourage reading past Summit recaps to get a better feel for what the day will look like. 

What's new? 

This year, for the first time ever, we offered pre-Summit sign ups for the Lunch & Learn presented by Wolverine Worldwide, headshots with Michgrads, and coffee chats with industry leading brands like LVMH and Dior–all of which were booked up within an hour! But don’t worry, arrive early to the day of the Summit as we are releasing more spots starting at 8:30 AM on a first come, first serve basis (mandatory in person registration). 

As for the panels, we are expanding beyond just the fashion and media space–with speakers from sports, entrepreneurship, beauty, and influencing careers, there is sure to be something to learn for everyone. 

Ensure your success for the day-of by downloading our brand new app! The Digital team has worked all year to consolidate everything Summit related into one location, including real time panel updates and the speaker line up.

A Sneak Peek into this year’s goodybag

As always, the goodybag will not disappoint. Our partnerships team worked tirelessly to deliver–dare we say–the best goodybag in MFMS history. From foodie favorites like Skinny Dipped, Poppi, and Realsy dates, to beauty must-haves like ColorWow and Tarte…it has it all. Not to mention, VIP ticket holders have a very special surprise from Parlux–it might make you Happier Than Ever. 

Staying updated with the MFMS beyond the Summit

Not only will our socials be super active day-of, but also beyond the summit. The MFMS hosts numerous info sessions with prestige companies and holds charity events throughout the year. Even if you can’t make it to the Summit, there are many ways to stay involved. Additionally, we’re coming up on our Fall 2025 recruiting cycle and our socials will have all the information if you plan on joining the next generation of fashion leaders.
