WHAT:

The Grammy’s 2024!

The 66th annual Grammy’s Awards aired on Sunday, February 4th. Here are some of our favorite wins: Best Song went to “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish, Best Pop Vocal Album went to “Midnights” by Taylor Swift, Best R&B song went to “Snooze” by SZA, and the Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media Award went to “Barbie The Album.” Miley Cyrus, dressed in custom Maison Margiela, also accepted her first two Grammy Awards and performed her hit song “Flowers,” seemingly channeling the late Tina Turner in her looks for the night. Looks like she finally got her “flowers”!

Pat McGrath Creates Art with Maison Margiela

Pat McGrath has just added one more thing to her resume: crafting mannequin-like skin for a couture-week-winning Margiela look. The collection and makeup aimed at transporting the audience to the glamor of Paris in the 1930s. The internet has been obsessed with trying to recreate the hyper-glossy, doll-esque look. McGrath announced that she would soon drop a product with this finish to her own line, Pat McGrath Labs.

WHERE (HINT… IT’S ANN ARBOR):

Places in Ann Arbor to Visit While Experiencing Seasonal Depression…

We know firsthand how difficult it can be to bear these terrible cold and dark winter months in Michigan. As much as we adore Ann Arbor, these past few months have shown us some brutal temperatures and conditions. Amid freezing rain and negative wind chills, try and visit some of these local spots to beat the winter blues! For an escape into a winter wonderland, visit the Arboretum to appreciate the beauty of this season. For a warm meal and some late-night fun, walk down Main Street and check out the amazing bars and restaurants lining the streets.  Lastly, for some indoor entertainment, attend a University of Michigan sporting event to support our school and our athletes!

WHY:

To inspire and educate the next generation of industry leaders, while forging valuable connections between the University of Michigan’s top talent and premier fashion and media companies.
