The fourth annual Savage x Fenty show was released on Amazon Prime on Wednesday, November 9th. Not only was the show star-studded — featuring celebrities like Cara Delevigne, Irina Shayk, and Johnny Depp — but the enchanting forest scenery and choreography made the event both mesmerizing and memorable. Fran Drescher Partners with ThredUp 

ThredUp, an online thrift store dedicated to eliminating fashion waste, featured Fran Drescher, iconically known for her role as Fran Fine in The Nanny, in their holiday campaign. She flaunts classic looks created by designer Daniel Silverstein, founder of the sustainable label Zero Waste Daniel, and each piece was made from leftover fabric from ThredUp. Who said sustainability isn’t chic?

2022 CFDA Awards

On November 8th in New York City, the Council of Fashion Designers of America celebrated the 60th annual award ceremony that highlights trailblazers of the industry. Among the many winners were Kim Kardashian, who accepted the first-ever Innovation Award for her loungewear brand SKIMS, Lenny Kravitz, who took home the title of Fashion Icon, and the late Virgil Abloh, whose Board of Trustees Award was accepted by his wife Shannon Abloh

Samsung Collaborates with Maison Margiela 

This sleek collaboration between Samsung and Maison Margiela intertwines haute-couture and technology. The partnership is multifaceted, with Maison Margiela’s influence seen in the design of the actual phone as well as in two phone cases, packaging, and in user experience.

Estée Lauder Buys Tom Ford 

On Tuesday, November 15th, it was announced that Estée Lauder will acquire Tom Ford in a $2.8 million deal that is expected to close in the first half of 2023. This acquisition will allow the beauty brand to venture into new spaces in the fashion industry. As a result of this sale, Tom Ford has gained billionaire status and he will continue to serve as the brand’s creative visionary through the end of 2023.
