We are so excited to announce that PVH Corp., formerly known as Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation, will be joining us again as an official partner of the Michigan Fashion Media Summit! This year, both The Stitch and The MFMS have dedicated themselves to promoting sustainable fashion. We recognize just how pressing it is to be more environmentally friendly— and so does PVH Corp.
For many years, PVH. has been a driving force in the fashion industry, taking progressive strides forward and leading other companies by example. This year PVH has committed to use their power to take part in the fight against climate change.
Just a few months ago, PVH established itself as the first US based company to join the G7 Fashion Pact, an agreement centered around the reduction of fashion’s harsh environmental impact, more specifically focused on biodiversity, the oceans, and climate in general. In accordance with the Paris Climate Agreement, PVH additionally pledged to significantly reduce its greenhouse gas emissions, with the company citing the goals, “to generate zero waste, zero carbon emissions and zero hazardous chemicals, and for products to be circular.” They are taking numerous measures to complete these objectives, and are setting an incredible precedent in combating climate change for other companies to follow.
We are so grateful to be partners with such a groundbreaking leader within the world of fashion! The MFMS recognizes all of the progress that PVH has made in creating a better world for us all, and cannot wait to see what other improvements are set forth in the year to come.
