Jonathan Newhouse serves as the Chairman of the Board at Condé Nast – publisher of some of the world’s most famous magazines including Vogue, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Glamour, GQ, and Architectural Digest, among others. Formerly, Newhouse was the Chief Executive of Condé Nast International, where he focused on the company’s international expansion. He unprecedentedly gained direction of nearly 100 magazines during his reign, launching editions of Vogue in China, Russia, Japan, the Middle East, Holland, and Greece to mention a few. Additionally, Newhouse was the driving force behind a new type of expansion for Condé Nast: pushing the company past its media focus and into new territory including licensed restaurants, companies such as Rent the Runway, and even the Condé Nast College of Fashion in London. 

He has received countless awards and praise for his remarkable work in making Condé Nast a global media empire. A few of these include, a position on the Business of Fashion’s 500 list and acknowledgement as “one of the most important people in the company’s history” by Steve Newhouse, the Co-President of Advance.
